You’ve passed the maximum amount of snoozes before you risk being late for work. Time to get up, rush to dress and hope to look halfway decent on the way out. That’s when your eyes catch a glimpse of your hair, in the rearview mirror.
And here it comes, “...what do I do with this hair?”.
Tired of throwing your hair up, along with your hands, each day? It’s important to keep it fresh and keep yourself feeling beautiful. You know, for you.
I, too sought variety and have put together a list of quick and easydo’s that are perfect for the office. Let’s start with everyone’s go-to.
This one is used often. It tends to get a little boring. But have no fear. There are plenty ways to create different looks using our beloved bun.
Side Bun: Part your hair off to one side, smooth out the front. Start with low ponytail that hangs to the side opposite your part. Twist your hair over into a bun et voila! It looks classy, sophisticated and professional. I always get compliments when I rock this look and it took less than a minute to do.
Braided Bun: Pull your hair back into a medium high ponytail. Create a simple braid and wrap it around into a bun. It’s quick, easy and adds a finishing touch.
Messy Bun: Perfect for a Friday. Not much thought or effort required. Pull your hair back loosely and grab the length of your hair into your hands and wrap the hair tie around it. You can use a drop of coconut oil to smooth out any frizz or fly-aways. All the hipsters are doing it.
All you need is a stretchy headband that can be wrapped around your head. Start with your hair down. Place the headband over the top of your head, just above your ears. Start from your forehead. Grab little pieces of hair at a time and wrap over and through the headband. Continue down the side until you reach past your ear. Repeat on the other side.
Grab the remaining hair in the back and tuck it in. It may take a few tucks depending on how long your hair is. Don’t feel intimidated. Try it and see how easy it really is.
You can’t go wrong with a ponytail. But you can switch it up and add a little touch of love to make all of the difference. Pull your hair back into a high ponytail. Grab a small chunk of hair from underneath your ponytail and wrap it around your hair tie. Use bobby pins to secure the wrap.
Half Up HALF DOWN
These are for the days that the back of your hair may be looking great but the front isn’t really doing it for you. Combat frizz and unruly hair with this look. Start with your hair down and grab of hair from the sides. Twists both pieces and either pin or use a hair tie to combine. You’ll be looking like a beautiful maiden.
Let your hair DOWN
This is going to take some overnight preparation but not much. Take 5 minutes the night before and set your hair into a bunch of tiny, twisted buns all over your head. But you don’t have to go crazy, just make it even. That’s it! Enjoy your night’s sleep and wake up to beautiful waves.
Let your hair down more and release that inner goddess.
